Cancelled – St Nicholas 900

Remembering the past
Celebrating the present
Looking to the future
‘St Nicholas Church, Wickham, celebrates its 900th anniversary in 2020. Sited at what’s now the junction of the A32 and Southwick Road, it’s been the church at the crossroads since 1120. What a great opportunity to remember the past, celebrate the present and look to the future!
During 2020 there’ll be a year-long programme of special events, put together on your behalf by the St Nicholas’ planning team and local community groups. There’s the village recipe book too, along with the specially-commissioned Song for Wickham, exhibitions in church featuring highlights of Wickham life past and present, concerts from jazz to classical, lectures, drama – and much,
much more!
Most of the events and activities will be free of charge, and any ticket costs will be kept as low as possible. All the latest news and booking details can be found on the church website and in the parish magazine.
And if you’ve ideas to share or you’re interested in sponsoring an individual event during this special anniversary year, please email me at: pjisaac@btinternet.com‘
